This is something that I've been putting off for some time, however Kelli's been playing around with GF.net and now has forced my hand since she's requested a new banner size. LOL

Anyways this the way the site looks now. www.LeopardGeckoBreeder.com

And this is the new look I've been working on all day. http://www.leopardgeckobreeder.com/indextest.html

Tell me what you think! Ignoore the current navigation and where everything links to, once I get some input and make any changes I'll start working on the rest.

Thank you,

Looks good felicia

Thank you. Any suggestions to make it better. This would be the index page and most of the content that's on the original design's pages will be overlaped onto this layout minus all the banners and webring stuff.

It's less busy than the other design but it feels like there's something missing and I just can't put my finger on what I can do to make it feel complete other than more text.

I think if the picture up top had more of a focus on the eyes it would spark that page up a little, and add something to the right side, something colorful, that represent your work.

I was having a hard time getting a pic that I liked enough for the header. I did wish that one had come out with more eye presense. I liked the raised tail and arched back that says "Back Off" though. I'm going to see what I have in my files of pics. I really wanted a full body shot there, but let me see what I can come up with.

I really like the new site. It has a more updated and modern look. I like it.

Thank you.

I did make a couple of changes to the background image. I took the leo image back to normal look instead of the artsy fartsy effects I had on it and changed the format of the image, I still keep forgetting to save it into a gif vs a jpg. So it should look much crisper since I first posted this thread.

Fe, both look great to me. You don't need an artsy fartsy site, all you need is badass animals :) The update look great though.

The funny thing is that I like the New logo gecko better than the Old one but at the same time he/she looks kinda awkward/funny. The way that the gecko is positioned only lets you see two of its legs (and a few toes on the third one) making it look kinda weird. Maybe if the stance was a little more open or if the pic was taken from the top it wouldn't look awkward. Maybe its just me though.

Thank you everyone for your input!

I know, but I wanted the one in the logo to look more like a painting than the actual animal, and it looks great larger but when I resized it for the background it really took away from the image. Oh well, I like it now.

I have a hard time getting them to sit still for pics. You'd think over the years I could figure out how to get them to sit still long enough in a nice pose other than a normal straight standing. :main_rolleyes:

I'm going to go ahead and keep this background and change the rest of the site today. I'll work on changing that leo pic on the top in the future. I'll post again once I've got it done. Sometime I'll have to make some time for a photo shoot and update all my pics and add the other leos I haven't had time to add yet.

Ya, right? haha. Photoshoot's still drive me crazy. There are the select few that work with you and are manageable but majority... geez.... so many bites too... haha

LOL Yep!! I have some that are good and some that just can't keep a pose even if I super glued (JK wouldn't do that) down!! LOL

Well all the pages are done and I'm done working on it for now. Now just to find time to take updated pics and get them on the site. :)

looks great Fe!

My previous reply was basicly stating.... flashy sites don't sell animals, great animals sell themselves :) That breeder list you currently have should have no trouble doing just that ;)
