Has anyone ever used the Exo-terra Heat Glo lights? I've bought them twice now and they seems to be burning out after about a month and a half to two months, which seems really odd. My lamp is set on a timer so it automatically turns on and off and I have a UTH which is on all the time. I use the light to keep the air temp in the tank up as winters in Halifax are Freezing! So I want to know if there is something else I can be using instead of the heat glo light? When they burn out I just switch over to a regular 60w bulb, but I've heard that the light can hurt their eyes? and the temp doesn't get nearly as warm as it would with the heat glo light.
