Linoleum as substrate???

Just curious. Do you all think that linoleum (without glue on bottom) would work as substrate for leopard gecko enclosures? A friend recently gave me a lot of left over linoleum that looks like stone/slate and I've been trying to find something to do with it. So, what do y'all think? Would it be safe?

It's good but if the kind you have to cut, it may curl at the edges a little over time.
