LIZARD HURT BADLY! PLEASE HELP!

This might be a little bit to read but I really need immediate help! I live in FL. This lizard I have is kind of beige/naked looking, almost see through. These lizards only come out at night and stay near lights on my house on the walls and ceilings. I attached a got a pic off google of what he looks like, someone said it may be a Mediterranean gecko. So anyway, my dog got ahold of him, gouged his eyes out, poor thing, the rest of him is fine. He has blood all in his head, I can see it right through his skin. It's been 3 days. I leave him outside in a shaded corner with leaves, branches and flowers so he's safe. I watch him closely to see if he was getting better. The next day or 2, one of his eyes appeared, looks totally fine, almost positive he can't see out of it though b/c he doesn't respond to anything near it then jumps if he's touched like it scares him. The other eye, there's a hole there and blood. So I left for 24 hours, when I came back, he looked horrible. The poor thing is dehydrating and shrinking and getting darker. His eye is swollen and black and blue now, Blood in his head still. Not moving much but he still is. He's dying, I can tell. He looks like a totally different lizard now. So I gave him a few drops of water, he licked it off his mouth. I don't know what to do, do I feed him? I don't want him to kill him, but I don't want him to suffer and die himself, do I kill him? I Rly don't want to, that would make me so sad after all he's been through. I am willing to do whatever it takes for the better of him. Can someone help me PLEASE!!!?? Very time sensitive!!!

So what are you saying? That I should kill him? Or let him live and suffer probably?

I would probably euthanize... You could take him to a vet, but it would probably be really hard for him to adjust to not having eyes, not to mention that high risk of infection from such a wound. He definitely wouldn't be able to live in the wild anymore.

So do you think he could live in general and make it passed this? Would you say the chances are slim? If so, how do i euthanize him? i just feel so bad for him, he's really in a lot of pain and really suffering. But he's still clinging to the wall and stuff. But if he has a chance to survive this I don't want to kill him, BC then I feel like I would be killing him for no reason if he can live. but if he's totally blind, I would, but if one eye works, he could manage eventually with a little bit of care. I tried to feed him a moth earlier, he won't eat. Just keeps moving his head spastically like I'm bothering him. How long can they last without food? And how often should he drink water?

He might have a chance or might not, it's sort of hard for me to say without being there. I've never dealt with eye injuries. The first priority would be disinfecting the wounds, but I'm not sure what the best thing to use in the eyes is.

If the wounds are very bad and you think he is in a lot of pain, than he's probably not going to eat. Reptiles typically last a long time without food and water.

You'll have to make the call. I know it's hard, but if he's suffering greatly, than it might be kind to euthanize. There was one time that my boyfriend stepped on a bull snake on accident and broke its spine. The snake was alive, but could no longer move the back half of its body. I knew it wouldn't make it, even if I took it in, because it would not be able to pass waste. So, I crushed its head with a big rock (it was very hard to do, but I knew I did the right thing). I know that sounds incredibly brutal, but reptiles are hard to euthanize (Their oxygen requirements are too low for a CO2 chamber, freezing them is extremely painful for them) and the only two methods that don't have serious drawbacks are instant destruction of the brain and lethal injection. So if you make the call that he is in too much pain, than you can either take him to a vet for a lethal injection or find a way to destroy the brain instantly (a sure strike with a big, heavy rock typically works well)
