Long road back but finally made the journey

Hello everyone, my name is Harry. I am new to Leopard Geckos but not to lizards as a whole. Many years ago I had a few animals, most notably a Savannah Monitor (whom I still think of and miss). I will be attending the Long Island Reptile Expo this Sunday with my 4 year old daughter and will be coming back with a Leopard Gecko. I have been performing my due diligence and have recently set up my terrarium.

It's the 18"X18"X18" Exo-Terra. I have an appropriate sized UTH on thermostat (still regulating temp). Ceramic emitter on a rheostat and overhead lighting to simulate daytime cycle. The substrate is a porcelain tile and at present I have a dedicated moist hide by Exo-Terra and a rather complex arrangement of driftwood. Driftwood has been inert and in storage for some time and poses no threat of harboring pests. I have infrared temp gun and a digital thermometers/humidistat.

I feel that the multi-tiered driftwood set up provides the ability to thermoregulate while offering ample places to hide in. The pieces are quite solid, mostly flat and secure. Does anyone see a problem with this??

In retrospect, I should have gotten a longer set up. Anyone reading this please consider when getting into reptile keeping. I will probably be getting a second tank and keeping this one for a possible second or, temporary housing.
