Looks a little weird.

Sappho's a baby, and I don't know if she's getting ready for a weird shed or what. The skin on her feet and the end half of her tail has whitened like she's gonna shed, but the rest of her looks normal. It's not even like her tail gradually whitens - it's normal colored, then suddenly looks sheddy. Is that normal for her? Same with her feet, looks like she's wearing white socks. I figured they just shed all their skin at the same time. Is she weird or what?

I don't think its weird (unless me and you have weird geckos, Lol) because I looked at my gecko and I see she starts to look white at her tail and it seems to creep up to her neck. Then I go usually go t bed and wake up to her looking bright as can be. lol

I took a nap and two hours later when I woke up she was completely white. It must have been the beginning of her changing color to shed. Looks like tomorrow morning she'll be bright again. She's very tame, but when I handled her she was extremely moody, so she has to be close. Haha, sorry about the constant freak-outs! I don't always know what's normal and I want to make sure she's healthy at all times. :main_yes:

Many leos seem to get really moody when its shedding time. Mine for example my leo pulls up the paper towel substrate goes under it and stays there for 3days! If I try to bother her, omg! Pure stank attitude.. :main_laugh:

Uneven whiteness is pretty common. Yukina normally gets white on her head first. The only time she ever even thinks about biting me is when she's shedding. They really do get rather "PMS"-y.

Haha that's what my mom said. She was like ZOMG YOUR THING IS PMSING! She was actually alright this time. Always seems to shed between 8 and 10PM, and this time she did it while I was playing CoH, didn't even notice. Yeah, I get really OCD with her. She'll cough and I'll FLIP OUT. ...She actually hasn't coughed yet, but she's let loose a few doom yawns that are the cutest things ever.

Isn't it so cute when they yawn? Mine are normally consistent with the time of day they shed. Yukina is always at night, Rem is always during the day, and Hiei never lets you see when he sheds cause he's sneaky.

Hiei is a shifty dude...woman...thing. He thinks he's so smexy.

Until he pees all over you at least. :main_rolleyes: I normally don't touch mine very much right before they shed, they seem happier when you just leave them alone. I only mess with Yukina because she has a problem with her toes and the tip of her nose.
