Love bites

Hi, I have 3 pairs of leopard geckos put together for breeding purpose. A pair each in an enclosure. My observation has been that all of my females have bite marks on their tail with a few tubecles lost and replaced with a scar (like a zit mark). Some even been bitten on the body and neck. But no permanent or serious damage though. But they don't look as "smooth and clean" as before after I put them together to do the nasty.

My question would be that...is this situation normal during breeding attempts by the males? Are your breeders as eager (or bitey) as mine?

Thanks

Thats no big deal it happens offtent. Males bit in the tail and for the "fun" they have to bite in the neck. If females aren´t ready they will also fight a bit.
I have had my MSSB male breed for the first time lately and he bit the female in the front left food(at that stage I went in to stop him doing it^^).

So no big deal jsut normal marks ;-)

Thanks for the feedback. How long should their introduction be? I paired mine about more than a month ago until now. A pair seems to get more skinny than before (male & female), eventhough each and every food item I offered seems to be fully consumed. Why is this so? Should I seperate or just continue on? I haven't witness any copulation with my own eyes though.
