Lucy the African Grey

[Pacific Gecko]

We got Lucy from an awesome breeder in Monterey, CA back in September. She has been an awesome bird since day one. She can always put a smile on my face no matter what the circumstance is. If anyone is thinking about a pet parrot, I can definitely recommend an African Grey. Here are some pics!

She's so cute! They're supposed to be some of the most intelligent parrots, she looks like a ham, but I bet she's smart! Very cute! I miss our bird.

Awesome birds, I think they are not only supposed to be one of the smartest birds but one of the smartest animals outside of humans and the other big brains.

beautiful...I used to have an african gray, but rob couldn't handle her so I rehomed her...they are a very manipulative bird too LOL they learn how to push you in the right direction to get what they want

very nice grey. i used to live next to an elderly couple that bred these and

macauws (sp). We never got much sleep in that neighborhood.

Thanks everybody for the comments. African greys are indeed said to be the most intelligent birds and after having Lucy for while now I've seen it for myself. She is a brilliant animal. I can't wait until she starts talking!

Lucy is beautiful and I bet that she will give you a run for your money-so to speak-when she really starts talking

They are indeed amazing birds and it is great to see one with all of it's feathers
You see so many that have been neglected or that have nervous disorders with half plucked bodies

They require the most attention of any bird out there because of their intelligence

Have fun with her......she looks to be a wonderful member of your family and I bet that there is never a dull moment with her around-lol
