Our very first hatchling, which we thought to be a normal, is looking to be a Mack Snow Pastel. He started out with the normal black and yellow bands, but his colors are getting lighter and lighter.. He just shed last night and now his bands are more purplish and his yellow seems to be fading a bit..

Here is a quote from what I have read about Pastels from http://www.mackleopardgeckos.com/genetics.html

"Mack Pastels as babies are distinguished by their vibrant bright yellow coloration at hatch. They appear to be much more "yellow" than typical normal / wild type offspring. Mack Pastels mature with a coloration similar to those of a Mack snow with muted yellows and lavenders, but upon reaching maturity, they seem to almost go through an overnight change and the colors intensify extremely."

here is his hatchling picture, and the yellow looks pretty "vibrant" to us.

and he's just been getting lighter and lighter, as you can see, his bands are no longer black, definitely purple-ish. This pic was taken just now (and once again, he shed last night)

and this pic was taken last weekend.. So you can see how dark he still was, even a few days ago, before his most recent shed..

So what do you guys think?
Also, if anyone has more info on Pastels (all we know is what the above reference says), if you could shed some light for us, it would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you :)

We are also keeping him for ourselves (since he was our very first hatchling ever), so his morph doesn't matter for selling purposes, just possible future breeding projects...

The website referenced above explains that the Pastel is dominant, and when bred together, produces 100% Mack Pastels (no super form)...So another question is, what would a Mack Snow and this (possible) Pastel produce? 50% Mack and 50% Pastel?

Sorry for all of the posts, but one last question.. If a gecko cannot be "het. snow", wouldn't a pastel be called just a pastel and not a mack pastel? Thanks in advance
