Mack Snow vs Line Breed Snow

How do you distinguish between Mack Snows and Line Breed Snows on the basis of the phenotype only? :main_robin:

I am asking this because of the numerous posts in this sub-forum, as well in the sub-forum 'Show Off Your Leos', where a lot of the leos with paler background colour are identified as Mack's.

You cannot differentiate between Line Bred Snow and Mack Snow by phenotype only. Nicer LBS will be whiter but this could also be said of Mack Snows.

Only way to determine is through test breeding.

The better quality snow you start with, the better the outcome will be.

Line breeding Co-Dom snows for higher white coloration has been done. The results vary too much to attempt to maintain the project. The other negative outcome is the creation of Super Snows. The next best option when wanting to line breed a snow would be to work with Gem Snow's or TUG Snow's. TUG Snows have a tendancey to be het tremper more often then not though.
