based on the humungous drop in prices in mack snows and supers, is it even a profitable market anymore? now that prices are down to where i can buy them it shows me something though. i mean, theyre cool, but not exactly my favorite morph and the sole reason id be getting them is to tinker and mix them.

Well thats the fun of it! Getting them and crossing them into other morphs. There will always be other morphs being produced, and mack snows will always be a thing to cross them back into as a result.

When I first saw the mack snows they were oh god, almost 2 grand for a male I believe. Now they are really low. I do not currently own any, and won't be getting any until the Tinley show this year. I knew this would happen, co-doms go down so much in price. We work with ball pythons as well, that has a LOT of co-dom morphs and you just watch em go down quickly. So i waited, knowing they'd be a lot less in even a years time.

However, I think most breeders main objective while breeding, is enjoying what they do and having fun! If they make some income, great! That's nice too. However if you don't love the morph, theres no reason to be in the business.

I personally don't really understand what your asking, but if you don't like the mack co doms, don't get into them. I don't own hardly any SHTBCT because well, I don't really like them! If you want to tinker with them, get one that is het for something, or like a bell mack, or tremper mack.

I agree. If you are worried about markets co-doms are a risk. However, once the big bang of all the new Mack crosses slows down you'll see some hold there value because just like other morphs the better the color, pattern, lack of pattern, etc. the more expensive the gecko.

I waited to get into Macks and I'm thankful I did. I would have been ticked to have invested and watch their worth drop to 10% of what it was within a year (which is NOT normal, even for CoDoms).

My recommendation, since the "standard" Mack market is ruined, if you don't like them, then don't get them. If you would like to experiment with CoDom, consider picking up some that are het or expressing an Albino line or other proven recessive mutation.

Ever since I caught my eye on Kelli's Mack Bell I was in love. Those are definitely on my wish list!
