Maddy's tantrum

The temperature dropped, so Madeline has her yearly case of the sniffles. She has to get her medication every other night. She hates it. I got her soaking last night, gently got a hold of her head and went to pry her mouth open with the syringe and she flopped over on her back... and stayed there.
It reminded me of a three year old having a fit and flopping down on the floor. :main_rolleyes:

She never tried to bite. Never even huffed. Just threw herself over on her back and refused to move.

Yup. She ended up getting her medicine, regardless of the fit. I would have to say it ranks right up there with trying to get a baby octopus in a jumpsuit in difficulty, but it got done!
I'm just glad shes a ball python, not a burm.
We have a burm that required medicating and... well... remember the scene from the first 'Men In Black' where J is at the car, delivering the baby? Being thrown around like crazy?
Yeah... about like that...

Maddy is usually a very shy, timid little girl, but I have others that are just so outgoing and social that I really think they don't know they're snakes.
Ten years ago, you would have never convinced me reptiles had personalities and character. Now thats what attracts me to them.:smitten:
