I don't think its too bad for a first attempt, lol.

So yeah, i made it out of polystyrene...

Looks great. Very similar to what me and my brother have made for his uromastyx and one of my corn snakes. Its a lot of fun to make your own decorations and hides!

Oohh.. I'm thinking of making a wall for my gecko as well. How did you get the sand to stick without it falling off? :main_huh:

I just covered it in a mixture of PVA and water and then chucked sand at it in the yard, it was pretty fun. Then i went over it all with Yacht varnish to seal it in so now i can wipe it clean because its waterproof :D

It didn't cost much at all, just some polystyrene (styrofoam?) tiles which cost about £5 ($7) for loads of 11" by 11" tiles which was more than enough.
And then i already had some PVA glue, sand and plaster. But not of that would cost much.

It took me just under a week to make, the waiting for it to dry can get quite frustrating though :main_angry:

Personally, i am an art student but i feel an unartistic person could still make this. So just go for it. :main_thumbsdown: Ya don't know untill you try!

And ye it is sorta heavy for polystyrene but not so as you can't pic it up with some ease.

:D

I like it. It's kinda like the one I made a few weeks ago. I wanted to leave the stones that I already had in it though so I just made one big shelf on the wall instead of smaller steps. My gecko gets up on the top level sometimes and looks over the edge.
