Making a custom tank

I have a question about making a custom tank.
I'm planning to use heatpads on the bottom so is it safe to use plexiglass or should I just stick with regular glass?

I have seen plastic racks being used so plexi should be fine, i think glass would be a better conductor though IMO.

I would suggest you make sure its a thick type of plexi glass and that you have your heat regulated or else it will get too hot and break the plexi. I have a friend that spent over $200 building a huge cage for one of his snakes. The bottom was plexi glass and he put the heat pad on it and it cracked the plexi glass cause he didn't have a thermostat.
