So I have developed a crazy ( to me at least) idea of making an enclosure out of natural clay here from the ground in North Carolina .
My idea is to find a large tray like item and then surround the tray with plexiglass ( I will put up 3 sides at first and work from the front and close it off with the last piece).
Has anybody tried to sculpt anything out of natural clay? I figured this is the best time to do it so it can bake in the hot heat here and harden. I feel like it will be most natural to her and would allow her to dig, it would also be compacted enough to not have to worry about impaction. My heating source would be a ceramic heat lamp which she has been using for months and is thriving under ( no UTH used ) so heating is not an issue.
The top will be open to allow for low humidity with the exception of some chicken wire for the light to sit on.
