Malawi Cichlids in their natural habitat by Ad Konings

I've wanted this book since I was like 12... Well 16 years and a couple editions later I finally have it! Such a gorgeous book oh my god! Have long been fascinated by these fishes... I used to snorkel a lot in the clear spring fed lake by my house and always enjoyed the rocky areas best... After just a few pages I'm dying to go to Lake Malawi and see them in their natural habitat... Well except for the chance encounter with crocs and hippos... Ehhh it would be worth it!

HOt! I kept a few African cichlids. Favorites were the Lamprologus Ocellatus. Shell Dwellers. Those come from Lake Tanganyika which is one of the other rift lakes. Some amazing biotopes there! Are you keeping fish now?

I haven't kept fish since I was a teenager... Looking at relocating and when I do I plan to have at least one tank set up for Mbuna or some of the bigger ''Haps''...
