Recently my female and male hooked up and now shes laying eggs (yay!) and im super stoked as that is what i have been trying for since last october. Now they are in seperate tanks.

However, since my male has mated he has become increasingly aggressive. I have been bitten 3 times by him ( 2 of which were light nips).

Is this normal for breeding season??

Good question! In my experience, during breeding season(now), the males become tense and rigid anytime I am in the area. I have yet to be nipped but I wouldn't be surprised. The females that I am breeding, run for the hides. Overall both sexes seem hyperalert. kim
