Ok, so before I begin, they are a proven breeding pair who have lived together... ever since I can remember. Tonight, after I switched "cubicles", he attacked her to the point that she has a BIG bite mark on her back and she dropped her tail. I have them separated, but he is still in the cubicle with the other female... and he leaves her alone??? He had already bread with the female that he attacked this year and she is getting ready to lay. Now, my second problem is that since she is getting ready to lay, I have read that you are not supposed to keep them on vermiculite while regrowing the tail (dirt in the wound). Sooooo, what do I put her on to let her lay her eggs?

Any help would be appreciated.

Wow sry I'm not sure what to do but I wouldn't keep males and females together all the time just when ur breeding them keep them together for a few weeks this could prevent future problems. And I would just do ur best to keep it clean as possible. Sry I'm not really much help.
