Never thought I'd have to do this but due to recent stress at home I have to move out and where I'm moving is not appreciative of live insects in their house. So that means a pet who has to eat live food cannot live there. :(

I am not shipping because I want to rehome him with all of his accessories. This includes:

  • 20 gal long tank with lid
  • UTH
  • 4 hides (including his nice humid hide)
  • water dish
  • calcium dish
  • escape-proof mealworm dish
  • calcium (with and without D3)
  • vitamin powder
  • two pre-cut reptile carpets (brown and green)
  • moss for humid hide
  • My mealworm colony (divided into two bins, one beetles, the other mealworms/pupae) I gutload with carrots, broccoli, and celery
The rehoming fee is a bit pricey, but I want to discourage those who have not ever had a leo. I really want him to go to someone with experience with reptiles. As far as I (and other GF members) can tell he is a Tremper Albino. The person I got him from never told me his age or where they got him from other than he is a 'proven breeder'. I haven't a clue what they meant by that. He is a beautiful animal and it really breaks my heart to give him up. I really don't want to do this but I see no other choice. I have thought for months about what I need to do and unfortunately this is it.

His name is Zimt (German for cinnamon, his previous name) and he's usually pretty mellow with being handled. I prefer to only handle him if he walks onto my hand in the cage. You have to move slowly with him and you cannot try to restrain him (wrap your hand around him) or he gets freaked out. However, I am of the opinion that since he is not naturally a social animal he has no capacity to want to be touched. I weighed him a few months ago when I had access to a scale and he should weight around 70 grams. I have kept track of all his sheds since the beginning of the year if you would like that info, too.

He is turning into a fat boy. ^_^

BTW I am in Pacific, MO and I would be willing to travel up to a hundred miles or so in any direction to meet someone. If you just want to look, however I ask that you come to my place. I just dropped a huge chunk of cash at the vets for my other pets, so I can't travel until next Friday the 17th when I get paid. (I'm literally out of money >_o)

I am going to start off asking $150 for him and all his accessories (basically a Leopard Gecko starter kit - bugs included). Before you think that's too much, realize that some people pay that to have one animal shipped to them. He's eating only mealies now, but he likes his waxworms (as a treat) and he's alright with supers but I don't think he likes how they flail about. He'll eat crickets and I'd bet he'd gobble down roaches if I offered them.

I'm going to accept almost any price now. I've just lost my job and I'm getting ready to head out the door to fill out as many applications as I can get a hold of.

Again, I am in Pacific, MO which is about 10 miles west of Six Flags over St. Louis. I am willing to meet someone if they are definitely taking him or they can come here if they just want to look first. Please, someone, help me find him a better home. I can still feed him for months yet, but I really need to get rid of almost all my animals. (On a related note I also have a trio of female mice in a 10 gallon that gotta go as well. Taking any and all offers for them.)
