HI there! I'm new so I'll try to make sure I post correctly here. Apologies for any missteps.
I am posting on behalf of my sister, who does not have internet at the moment. Her male leopard gecko Ghidorah (Ghi for short) has developed a strange, sunken section of skin that looks brown with white bumps. We think it may just be an abrasion from an over-enthusiastic shed, but wanted to get some second opinions. He does not seem to be in any discomfort and we're not sure if its worth a visit to the vet at this point (if it gets worse obviously we will go).

About your leo:
- Sex: male
- Age & Weight: about 4 years old, maybe 80 grams or so. He is a big boy!
- How long have you owned your leo: about 3 years
- Where was he/she obtained (ex. Pet store, breeder, wild caught, friend): from a petstore

A) Health/History
- How often do you handle your leo: she handles him maybe once a week or more, depending on if he crawls into her hands when she opens the tank to check his food/water/etc
- Is your leo acting any different today? If so how does he/she normally act which differs from now. He behaves the same as usual-- friendly but shy, spends regular amount of time split between cool side, warm side, and moist hide
- Has he/she had any problems in the past, if so please describe. Yes, he had parasites and was malnourished when purchased at petstore. We fed him a lot and took him to the vet where we got medication to treat the parasites. He is fine now and his poops are normal instead of runny.
B) Fecals
- Describe (look any different than normal) normal
- When was the last time he/she went a few days ago
C) Problem
- Please briefly describe the problem and how long it has been going on
noticeda few days ago, a small area of skin is sunken looking, brown, with white lumps. DOesnt appear to be wet/pussing or causing any discomfort

- Method of regulating heat source - one of those dials on the UTH, and just turning lamp on/off as required
- What are you using to measure your temps - digital thermometer
- Do you have any lights (describe) - UVB, on during the day
C) Cage mates
- How many (males, females) - none

I'd say just keep an eye on it. Keep his cage clean while it is healing, and if you have any antibiotic ointment (WITHOUT pain relievers or numbing agents), you can put a small amount on the spot. If it starts looking infected or spreading, then you should see a vet for an examination.
