I am new owning reptiles, we got 2 leopard geckos a week ago and our male gecko just kinda chills in his cave all day long and doesnt come out much, and our female is out and about a couple times a day/way more at night obviously. when i feed them though I usually put their worms in their food bowl and then watch from afar and check to make sure they eat them before i go to bed. But I think the only one who has been eating them has been the girl. I havent seen him come out to eat at all.

I have tried to feed him with tweezers to make sure its him thats eating it but they’re new to us so hes not warmed up to us yet, and since he never comes out of his cave i havent gotten to work with him on taming as much as i have her. Im scared hes not getting food because shes taking it and he wont come close to the tongs enough to actually eat the worm.

should i take him out and feed him in a separate container? he wont let me get close to him so he hasnt been picked up yet or anything.

I just want him to be okay :(

What is your setup like? How big is it? Temperatures? Substrate? How many hides? Do you have a humid hide? Are they getting calcium? Is there a size difference between the two? Have you tried crickets?

Buy another tank. They do better living by themselves. She's probably stressing him out and he can get sick.
