male or female?

i am saying male, it looks like there are V shaped pores forming, and the testicles. i am no pro, but that is what i am seeing.

i would say male too... for the same reasons as above.

I need a more high-resolution shot of that area to make any more than a guess, though.

It's hard to be certain from the photo, especially given the gecko's position, but from what I can see I'd say it's female. If you can set the gecko on a flat surface, and gently lift its tail up and snap a picture from behind of the base of the tail it would be much easier to be certain. (That's just the easiest way I know of doing it while holding a camera with the other hand.)

Geckos don't have testicles. I think you mean hemipenes. ;)

ok, yeah. female. no dark pores formed at all. :) thanks for a closer look.

ok, i see. the picture before the way it was turned made it look like it had 2 hemipenes:main_laugh: . but now it looks like a female. good call Paul, and thank you for the correction.:D

Just wanted to ad my observation.

The alleged bulges are infront of the cloaca in the first image, male's hemipenal bulges are behind it ;) Some females have a fatty area that may appear to be hemipenal bulges also, so sexing isn't always easy on some females.

As we already know, FEMALE for sure.
