male part problem

I don't know what's going on. The leo I thought was a female ends up being a boy and has an umm problem. This was about a week ago I noticed this. His little part is sticking out and at first I thought it was a shed issue since there was a piece of hide box stuff stuck to him and I gently pulled that off thinking it would go back in, but it hasn't. I've kept his whole box wet down daily in hopes that would help. The part sticking out seems to be scabbed over from being outside, what do I do? Could a vet fix this or can I? He's not even a year old yet. This happen to anyone ever?

This problem sounds like a hemipenile prolapse, and if it is 'scabbing' over, it may be because it is becoming necrotic. A trip to the vet is in order, I think.
