Do you mean the animal being housed alone or with company? The way it acts towards people or other geckos?

The way it acts towards people I suppose. It will be housed alone and without any other reptiles around.

All geckos have different personalities so there is no guarantee that a male/female will act the way another would but that being said!

I like males better as pets. To me they seem more easy going, but I have also had a bunch of jumpy males as well.

Males you dont have to deal with ovulating/egg laying blah blah blah which is a bit of a problem this time of year.

But! If you ever want to house a second leo with your lovely male you are limited to a female, and then you end up with them mating and thats not a good situation unless you want to breed.

I have also had plenty of very nice females so I guess it really doesnt matter that much...

from my personal experience i think the males are a little more outgoing and docile than females. but thats just from the 5 geckos i own, a very small sample size. and my calmest gecko is in fact a female, so it varies tremendously by individual. try holding the gecko before you purchase it. but dont worry if u end up with a jumpy gecko, they calm down a lot as they age.
