Haha, thats not a stupid question! It's always good to ask things. But that is kind of hard. When they reach the mating age they will try immediately most of the time. I had to quickly Separate Neo, and Athena when I caught them trying to mate. I came just in time! Though yeah I would just look in to having a Divider put in to the cage until you can get both of there own cages. That's why it's always best to have Females unless you want to breed. Good luck :D Remember always ask questions!

Ahhh thank you so much!! :) Good to hear from a man of experience!
I wanted to get Zeus a friend but I guess that is impossible for males unless you want to breed.
Thanks so much!

Maybe I will get a couple girls and keep them all together. I really want one of those tangerine ones they are soooooooooooo cute.

What size are your tanks? It's best to have around 10 gallons per gecko that you have in one tank. I have a 20 gallon long with 3 juvenile females, but the tank is a 20 long, it's floor surface area is as big as a 29 gallon standard. Like Darkmaster said, it's nearly impossible to house males with females without them breeding. Even if you don't mind them breeding, you still have to separate them after breeding season, so it wouldn't work either way. It's best for hobby keepers to get females, as they can be housed together, saving money on supplies.

20 gallons should normally be fine for two females. If they're 20 gallon long's (30x13), they can fit up to three depending on how big the heating pad is and how many hides you have.

Be sure to do a little research first. My first tangerine cost $65, sold to me as a carrot tail. It had maybe 10%, if not less. My second one cost $40 and has 50%+ carrot tail and is still growing. My second one was also more orange.

Oh thanks Caleb, I didn't even think of that haha. Wow, only 60 dollars though!? Geckos here are never under 100, no matter their morph. Crazy stuff!!
I need to move to the states you guys have all these reptile shows. Maybe when I move to a bigger city here they will have something similar.
