OK so on the 26th of October Im sure you remember my Post "Amazing what a month does" http://www.geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=13349

now Im sure you remember my post about her tail. Well since Right before her tail Issue she stopped eating. its been 8 days and nothing. I bought crickets, waxies superworms and mealworms.. she normally eats worms right from the dish...nothing.
I checked on her tonight and shes been super lethargic, not wanting to open her eyes. her skin was a little saggy soI'm guessing this is dehydration... could that cause lack of appetite?
her humid hide was dry soi sprayed it while she was in it.. she didnt want to move, and when some water got on her face she went nuts licking it off. I pulled her out and soaked her and continued to drop beads of water on her nose and she continues to lick it off. I'm hoping this will lift her spirits. I am going to try twice a day for a few days to see what that does. Im not awefully worried about her not eating as shes still 37 grams "weight when last weighed" I am a little concerned shes only 3 months old and not eating.
anyone got an idea? am I doing good by soaking her and trying to hydrate her?

poor girl... shes had a hell of a week.

Hydrating her sounds like a good idea. With the weather change, many geckos slow down their eating habits. Double check your temps...thermometers can go bad. If she is still lethargic, I would have her checked.

When animals are kept in a confined space, parasite loads build up. It may take some time before this becomes outwardly apparent. Have a vet do a fecal float, or a shotgun treatment.

*UPDATE*

I havnt taken Marcella to the vet as My Hubby was out of town all weekend on buisness and I was home alone with two kids. Id planned on taking her tomarrow but Now I dont think its necesarry.

Tonight I weighed her and shes lost no weight. Still no poop and I decided to give her a warm soak again. She pooped in her water! Yuck! but a good yuck.
I re-filled her water dish while she was soaking and remisted her hide. I then put her back in her tank and she was eagerly looking for food so I hand fed her 1 waxie and 2 mealies and she wanted more. Being that she eats from her dish I counted the woms then let her be and I'll see if shes eaten more in the morning. Im Soooo proud of her!!! I was assuming it was just dehydration and it looks as though I was correct! GOOOO Marcella!!!

a little update. I figured out it was her light.. too much. I realized that things started when i started using that light. anyway she hasnt had any light for 2 weeks now and with each shed she looks better and is perky and feisty now. It can only get better from here.

Since leopard geckos are nocturnal, their skin and eyes are not adapted for UV rays so they do not need any lighting at all.... just natural room daylight.
