Spring sure is off to a snowy start this year! Are you looking for a place to keep out of the cold and enjoy some fun in an atmosphere that feels more like spring? Stop by this Saturday and check out the first Kalamazoo Reptile & Exotic Animal Expo of the spring! The expo is this Saturday, March 23, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center (2900 Lake St., Kalamazoo, MI 49048 ). We have a great selection of vendors signed up so far this month, and reservations are still coming in. Some of the things that our vendors have promised to bring this weekend include brown, green, and blue pac-man frogs, reed frogs, barking tree frogs, cuban tree frogs, big eyed tree frogs, albino bullfrogs, axolotls, leopard geckos, crested geckos, velvet geckos, giant day geckos, reef geckos, giant tailless whip scorpions, fire skinks, amethistine python, green tree python, graceful and senegal chameleons, everglades ratsnakes, japanese ratsnakes, chinese king ratsnakes, baby savannah monitors, gargoyle geckos, taiwan beauty snakes, plated lizards, marine toads, hypo boas, hypo hogg island boas, carpet pythons, several ball python morphs, Columbian b/w tegus, brazilian rainbow boa, water dragons, tiger ameivas, mountain horned lizards, crested agamas, red head agama, green anoles, hermit crabs, emperor scropions, possibly some baby bearded dragons, an alligator, and so much more! For those of you a little more interested in the furry or feathered friends, we will have guinea pigs (Americans, an American satin, and a male texel), a rabbit or two, dumbo pet rats, mini pigs, and birds. We will also have supplies for your pets, including heat, lighting, live plants, glow in the dark mushroom kits to add some light to your enclosure, snuggle sacks, and hammocks. We don’t want your animals to go hungry, so be sure to check out our selection of live crickets, hornworms, mealworms, superworms, live and frozen rodents, Repashy crested gecko diet, and mammal feed by the pound. You will be able to pet Freddy the alligator, a few different pythons, and a variety of other animals in our petting zoo. Best of all, you will get to enjoy learning, sharing, and discussing animals with people who share your interest in these exotic pets.
Admission is still only $4 for ages 11 & up, $2 for ages 6-10, and under 6 are free. In an effort to make this an affordable family experience, no family will pay more than $15 total admission.
If you have any questions, feel free to explore our website at Kalamazoo Reptile & Exotic Animal Show or email us at [email protected] and we will respond as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you Saturday!
