I've been thinking about breeding my Leos...I see that a lot of you are already having eggs hatch and such...when is breeding season? How do you tell if a female is ovulating?
Breeding season generally runs from February to September, but that's because of the warm temps. If you live in a warm place, like we do (Arizona), you may find your leos breeding in December and January. You can also manipulate leos into hibernation with a "cool down" and when they warm back up, they are tricked into breeding.
You can tell if she is ovulating by seeing if you can find any follicles - big white blobs in the females stomach.
