Mating successful? Please help

I paired my geckos today and what i noticed after they were done is that when the male was cleaning himself, there was a sperm plug still stuck to his hemipenis. Could this mean that the mating was not successful? The sperm plug was removed though when he cleaned himself.

Ok, so i tried mating them again but the female didn't accept him. This means that the job was already done right?

It probably did. You should be able to see eggs growing inside her if she was bred. I would keep trying to breed them every few days.

Thanks. Is it really necessary to let her mate once every few days? She was being really fierce to the male today. I just hope the first mating was a success. How long would it normally take till i can see the eggs forming?

I have one or two that only let the male breed with them once, and they layed fertile eggs. You should probably see them forming within a week. Was she ovulating?

she wasn't and rejected him but i did the paper trick and 3 days later she accepted him. she's definitely ovulating now though.
