OK, I posted in another thread that I was worried about illness, now from reading things I am wondering if it is pregnancy.
My son and I bought a 1-yo or so subadult female leo from a great reptile store. She had a nice fat tail and all. We have had her for two weeks this Monday. This past Saturday she was her usual hungry self. Sunday, she didn't eat, and I noticed that her tail was losing some weight. She has not eaten since Saturday (so about 4 days now). She did eat a superworm (large) that she regurgitated but I think it was just too big for her. She is drinking well and even drank some water like a little puppy dog. She is still curious alert and coming out at night cuz she leaves scat. But the scat is basically water and urate, no solid to it and it smells sort of fishy.
Now, she does not have a fat tummy and it is not hard. She was on repti-sand for a little bit but she is now on paper towels. The sand was orangish in color.
OK...Sunday, when I checked her tummy (I was worried about impaction) she did not have anything noticable, like bruising or discoloration. Yesterday I looked and she has these two roundish, slightly orangish looking things on either side. Does this sound like gravid to anyone? If the sand was calcuim based and colored, would it color her egg shells? If this was impaction, I don't think she could move for the size of it, plus her tummy is not hard at all.
She is going to the vet tomorrow anyway, but I thought I would throw it out there. I hope that is it.
