So I have the two Leos.. One Male and one Female. They both are BIG eaters when it comes to crickets.. There a couple of cows with them lol.. Now when it comes to the meal worms the female absolutely TARES them up. She would eat as many as I gave her if I let her... However the Male will not TOUCH them.. Wont eat a one.. Ever heard of or seen that before? Just seems odd. Everyone I know tells me they have never seen a gecko that wouldn't eat Meal Worms. I assume its not a big deal health wise since he is eating the crickets so well.. But is there a way I could get him to start eating the worms that anyone knows about? Or do I just live with the fact that he just wont eat them? ;p;

I think you'll just have to live with it. Fae won't eat mealies, don't know why but she won't but she gobbles up crickets (already dead) and supers. There are some leos that just prefer some feeders. As long as he's eating I wouldn't say it's anything to worry about other than being annoying ;)

I think a lot of the problem with mealies is they don't really move so much and they're so little. Maybe try supers and see if he'll eat those. Maybe the larger size and more movement will be more appelaing to him plus you won't need to feed near as many as the mealies. My adult leo eats 2 supers 3x a week (versus the upwards of 10-15 mealies he chould eat in one sitting) and does great. Also some leos that have never been feed worms until later in life for some reason just don't take to them. They're use to what they're use to and refuse to change. Personally I'd keep trying, maybe even give him a few days off food to make sure he's good and hungry then introduce the mealie/supers to him and see how it goes.

I've switched many from crickets to superworms. It may take a few weeks for the older ones but once they give in they love their worms. They have to change over because I won't buy them crickets. Have never had one starve to death, they will give in when they get hungry enough.
