This is my first leopard gecko and really my first pet Iv ever owned besides the family dog. I bought a container of meal worms at pets mart and they come in a saw dust looking material inside a small container that says like keep in a temperature range from 34-55. I don't need to feed the meal worms? Why do I have to keep them in the fridge? I read a post somewhere here saying that meal worms aren't very nutrious unless you gut load them, so should i like take them out 5-6 hours before feeding and put like some fruit or something with them, then give them to my gecko?

Yes, you can take out some and they warm up pretty quickly and start wiggling in like 10-20 minutes. Then you can put in carrots, potatoes, yams, apple, stuff like that so they can eat.

You can put them on oats as bedding.

Them being in the fridge just puts them in sort of a...hibernation stage where they don't move or eat.
