meal worms in bowl question?

i can't seem to get my geckos to eat out of a bowl any tricks..i have the meal worms in a 2'' black pvc cap and its full ...the geckos come up to it act like there going to strike and walk away..any ideas?

I dropped a mealworm in front of my gecko and made a trail to the bowel. Then I showed him a mealworm and he got interested. Right when he was about to strike I dropped it into the bowel and he saw a bunch moving. Then he just ate out of the bowel from them on.
