Mealies!

Hey all, my little Artemis is doing super well and is growing up very well but I have a bit of a question about Mealworms.
Im going on holiday next week for four days so I figured it would be a good idea to buy mealworms so that I could feed him up good on the day before I left and then leave him with a big bowl of mealies for him to pick at whilst im away. They arrived today, all 100g of squirming goodness so I tried him on them instead of his typical cricket/roach feed and he absolutely loved them which was a huge relief as I was worried he would freak out as their movements are different to any of the other things hes used to.
However I now face the task of getting him to eat them out of his little dish. Ive left five in there with a slice of lettuce as a little test overnight but I was wondering if anyone had any tips? Please bare in mind Art isnt the most observant of geckos! :')
Thanks!
(also a little sneaky pic of Art's growth in the month I've had him! :) )

Very nice growth!
And something I do is tong feed them and lure them closer to the dish, eventually having them eat right above the dish, to right down into the dish, then hopefully he sees the dish of mealworms and gets the idea. A lot of the time, they will start wandering at dawn/dusk and will see the moving deliciousness and start pounding them down.

Well I tried this today, it worked at getting him over there but he got all confused to see them all squirming at once, couldnt decide which to lunge for and eventually wandered off. Do you think I should just leave him to it for a few days and see what happens?

I'd do it whenever you tong feed him and keep less mealies in there until he gets the grip of it

Sucess! I went into my room today and caught him snacking. Although I had noticed a disappearance of a few before I wasn't sure if they were escapees but now I know! :) Thanks for the help!
