I have WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY too many mealworm beetles. I was wondering if it were feasible to ship these to people. I would be willing to sell really cheap or give away. I have thousands of unwanted beetles. I considered breeding and selling mealworms for money but I hate sifting them out, causes my allergies to act up and doesnt sound good for my health. My other option is feeding the beetles to the small mouth bass in our pond, if they will eat them. Thoughts please and thanks. :)

I'd be thrilled to take some off your hands (and I'm the one in Canandaigua!). I'm just beginning my mealworm colony and have about 5 beetles. lol I was just telling my daughter that it was so strange they made my allergies flare up. At least I'm not the only one.
Do that many beetles/worms smell?
I'd be happy to meet you where ever. I could trade you some crickets if you'd like some.
(Barter system???)

While my first batch of supers were pupating, I bought a container of superworm beetles at a show for $10. Since it takes a while to produce feeders from feeders, it was great to be able to close up that gap a bit. By the end of this week we will have mealies started for pupating.. it would be great to have some beetles :)

Thank you all for the comments. I will get back to everyone that said they were interested. I am still debating on how to ship them but will make a decision tomorrow.

All beetles are spoken for. Sorry to everyone who posted on here, had a lot less than I thought.

Whew! I'm glad you aren't trying to guilt me into taking any :) We have an excess of supers at all stages plus 1000 mealies. Gonna have to sell off some! The kids seem to prefer supers to mealies so I don't know if it would be worth it to breed any. Keeping a container of a couple hundred in the fridge will ensure there is always something for hatchlings if there's no suitable baby supers temporarily.
