The 2nd picture looks like a beetle not long after it has "hatched" and the shell hasnt darkened yet. Tbh i think when i bred worms some of the beetles never went totally black.

And the 3rd picture i think is a beetle that is a bit worse for wear or maybe dying. I remember when they were dying sometimes they would lose bits of their shells and kinda wither away or maybe the other beetles were eating them i dunno.

Either way i wouldnt worry too much. My geckos would never eat the beetles so aslong as they made new baby worms i didnt care about the beetles.

Are the brown winged ones female right? What about brown ones with no wings? Google only showed black beetles.

There can be malformed beetles with or without wings, stubbed wings, crumpled etc. If they look like they aren't going to make it, I'd remove them. I don't believe there is any noticeable sexual dimorphism in these beetles.

Awesome. I didn't even realize they could be new beetles. Thanks. I'll remove the weak ones. Getting a couple hundred beetles today so I'll spend my afternoon sifting through them.
