My mealworm breeding project took off and now I have lots of mealworms. There are quite a few empty cages in the house. What type of herp eats the most mealworms? Yes, I know what comes in must come out, but maybe I could bring a nice hungry critter into my home to help with the excess.
One of the leos will eat mealworms, but after starting this mealworm colony, the other one has decided it's crickets or nothing. I tried tempting her with a few wax worms, but other worms are still off the menu.
There are many days when I have to be gone for 12 hours at a time, and bearded dragon babies have to eat more often than that, so a beardie probably wouldn't work. The cresties can't eat mealworms.
Ideas?
