Mealworm Propagation

How often do you put new fruit/veggies in your mealie tubs? I'm not having any problems with mold EXCEPT on the underside of the veggies. Should I leave it in there for a few hours and then throw it out? Will it be okay like this?

I only have 1 tub of mealworms. I just put in what they can eat in a day. It prevents mold & gnats from happening.

i switch mine out every day and have had no problem with mold (knock on wood)

Use a plastic lid or something to keep it from touching the substrate.
