mealworm question

OK i have a 3 drawer file cabnet and i want to use it to breed mealworms i have oatmeal on the bottom and i want to know do the beetles fly/climb because i have them set up in my room but i can move outside if they are climbing. i just dont want any around my house lol.

They got wings but none ever fly or climb out of the cabinet I got before, if its too high for em which dont need to be TOO high, they wont get out. I occasionally find 1 or 2 beetle running around in my room or outside, those I have no idea how they got out.

The beetles usually dont fly out unless food is scarce.
