There are mini mealworms (A different species, and very hyper active) the regular size mealworms, and then giant mealworms. Regular and Giant Mealworms are the same species, except the giant ones are sprayed with some sort of hormone that stops them from molting. These are generally not recommended for anything except fishing. Along with this there are also Superworms. These are sometimes called king mealworms. If you are looking for something that takes a while to molt, these are for you; they are a little more expensive then regular mealworms, but also larger, and easier to digest. For some reason they don’t normally molt unless put into separate containers, which makes them more difficult to breed.

The places we got meal worms from have small, med, large, and some have Mini Meal worms..these mini's were the same meal worms...You will find that they will fill your order with another size if they are out of what you requested. and most send a good percent of "overage" to get you back again. example our order was 5,000 ... we got 8,000 (count by weight)...
BUT........then I now see Mini's that are of a different species. Take care / HJ
