Mealworm Question!

How many mealworms should I feed a leopard gecko a day? As much as it will eat? Do I feed every day or every other day?

I only have 2 leos at the moment(in the process of getting another female ) But I usually put a bowl of about 30 in each of my leos tanks and add more when needed.. Others may do it a diff way though

When I used to feed mealworms I would feed 7 a day or 8-10 every other day. The problem with keeping them in a bowl is that they will pupate.

I feed about 9-10 mealworms to each of my adults 4 times a week.

Depends on how big your leo is. For hatchlings and juveniles they should be able to eat all they want. Just keep a dish of mealworms available. If you are worried about them turning into pupas just take any uneaten worms out the next day and put in fresh ones, the old ones can be put back into the worm container and have a chance to get gut loaded again.

Adult can over eat and become over weight. My adults I feed once or twice a week either mealworms, superworms or crickets.
