So I rotate my darkling beetles every 14 days to a new bin. I currently have 2 bins at various ages of mealworm growth. What is the most efficient method of removing the worms from the bedding to refrigerate until they are needed. I've seen videos of people using buckets, and strainers and their hands... what works best?

Hey Jeff, what I do it just use my hands. It is quicker and easier for me if you're getting the larger ones for food. Otherwise, if your bedding is small enough to fit through a strainer, that's the most efficient route

I put a piece of egg crate in my bins and 80% of the beetles are usually crawling on it when I switch them to a new bin. As for the worms, if I need to cool them down I just dump the bin into a deli cup and shove it in the fridge. They still need substrate to burrow in and eat while they are chilly or you will have a lot of die off.
