mealworms

is there a way how to tell if a mealworms is turning into a pupa?I have some that a brown but their not moving and their legs are folded.

Very likely either pupating or dying. Are you keeping them refrigerated to retard pupating?

During pupation my mealworms tend to go stiff, and eventualy white with there legs clearly visible.

If you keep them refrigerated, IF they are really mealworms and not just small superworms, then you will prevent them from pupating, if you don't want them to pupate that is what you'll need to do. However you can feed the pupated aliens to your gecko with out any problems, unless you're trying to start a colony that is.

If it is the regular mealworm color and its curled up than I would say its pupating. If it is a really dark color it is dying or dead.
