I dont know if im in the right forum but i have a murphys female. Recently i have notice she is attacking my male. She is biting him on the back of the head in the same spot. Could this just be because she is in heat. I have never noticed it before so i dont know if she is a "hot" female or what. I also put a new gecko in the tank and the female tried to bite her also so i dont know what to think. any suggestions?

Well I would definitely removed the female in question and house her by herself for the time being. Her biting the male could have something to do with breeding, sounds like she is telling him "NO." Perhaps she bit the female because she is stressed/upset.

How has she been living, with a male at all times? And then you introduced another female today for the first time ever? Did you clean out the entire cage so that no one's particular scent was all over the place? When introducing new geckos, it's important to make sure the cage and all items are clean, so that the new gecko doesn't come into a home with all of the territory already marked..

i cleaned the entire tank about two days ago. Yes she has been with the male all times along with two other females and like i said the problem has just risen. it didnt happen in the past i think she bit the female cause she was stressed. But as far as the male its almost like the female goes oout of her way to find him. He wont go near and be minding his own business and she'll go for the hunt which makes me think it has to do with breeding. any other suggestions???
