Saw this guy at Petco and couldn't leave him there... he was underfed, didn't know how to hunt crickets very well at first. Petco had so many leos in a 20 long that he probably never got the chance to.

Anyways, two weeks later and he's putting on some weight and becoming a better hunter. He still refuses mealworms but is eating dusted crickets quite well now. Have no idea what morph he is, maybe someone here will be able to figure it out.

Anyways, here's Indie! (that also explains the unoriginal screen name)

Also, he's not on the calci sand anymore. Just slate tile and paper towels. ;)

Cool little guy! Looks happy that you rescued him. I hope that sand isn't Calci-Sand. God Bless - Moefv

Thanks for the comments guys! Fattening him up is gonna be a challenge since he hasn't shown any interest towards wax or meal worms (which I guess is good considering crickets are healthier anyways).

But the sand was calcium sand, but is no longer in there. The second I read about all the impaction horror stories, it was changed to paper towel.

He's very cute. You should do before and after pix as he gets older. I'm curious what colors and patterns he'll turn out to be :)

The calci sand thing is horrible. I almost got it myself. I found out it was bad within an hour of researching online. But there are pictures of leos on sand on so many products in the store. You would think reptile product companies would know what they are doing.
