Melamine Cage Heating.

I'm in the process of gathering everything I need to build a melamine cage. It'll be split into a total of four cages. However, I've gotten stuck on the heating. I seen a few forums where people used reptile heat cable and put glass on top but it didn't have any ventilation. I was thinking of doing that but using tile instead and drill a few holes in the back. I'm use to dealing with glass aquariums and UTH's and always thought ventilation with any heat product was required. I previously used bulbs with the last cage I built BUT I never could get the floors temps to be correct/hot enough plus I burned my hand a few times while cleaning and had to wait until they would cool off.

Thanks, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
