Okay well I've heard that a 20 gallon is better than a 10 gallon so since they were on sale, we were able to get one at PetCo for about 20.00. YAY SALES! lol, anyways, I did a lil video and took a couple pictures. He has a healthy appetite and is growing nicely. The only thing I don't know what to do for him is what kind of thermostat to get him to help control the temperature in the winter time. Thankfully I have a bit of time to get one since winter isn't here yet obviously. He seems contented in his new home. The 10 gallon will be used as his "mini" home for when I clean his big tank.

Is that sandpaper? I've never heard of anyone using that in a leo cage. I've heard of it for bearded dragons to help keep their nails in check.

Other than that it looks nice.

Looks like a pretty nice set-up! I use the same hide as a moist hide for my fat tail, and the Exo Terra brand one for my oldest leo. Love those things! They're perfect for moist hides! I use a lamp dimmer on 2 of my tanks to control the UTH temps. The other one has a more expensive Zoo Med Repti Temp thermostat. Admittedly, the lamp dimmers do have to be monitored a bit more closely than the Zoo Med, but they are simple and I haven't had too much trouble. If it gets warmer or cooler than usual, I just have to make sure I check them a couple times a day.

Hmm yea I've looked into the Zoo Med thermostat, and may get one, just don't know which is the best one. I've heard good and bad reviews on it. As goes with everything you get I suppose. And that's not sandpaper, it's brown reptile carpet that I got at PetCo. It only covers the warm side because it's a 10 gallon repticarpet, because he was in a 10 gallon tank before. I'm glad you guys like it though! He's snoozing in his moist cave now, and sorry for the video moving so fast, it would have been a lot longer if I hadn't made it "faster". ^_^
