WOOHOO! We just went out and bought a new desktop today, can you say "Happy dance time"?? :D I haven't even played with the new computer yet (I'm sure I'll wet my pants when I do...it's a dual core). The old pc is now by my art desk, where I'm at right now, and the new monitor is hooked up to it...I just want to cry it's so pretty looking! It's a 17" flat panel and the colors are PERFECT, and everything looks sooo crisp. See, the whole idea is now I have a computer right where I'm sitting when working on art so I can study photos and what-not.

Now I need 2 things...

1. I need to DO art. LOL For everyone who has been waiting for me, I appreciate your patience!

2. I need a fancy-pants camera, which we plan to get with our tax money. We've had the same 2 megapixel camera for years now, and we'll just say that it's time for it to go.

OK, it's dancing time!! DOdodo DOOOOO dodo :main_laugh:

PS:
Jeremy, I need to ask you about worms (again), so I'll try to remember to call you soon.

Paul, I'll be asking about your lights for your camera in the future, so be ready!

Both of you...I'd better get an invite to the next get-together, or there shall be consequences! :behead:

I am thinking about selling my Fuji FinePix 5100 SLR Digital camera, with 4.0 megapixels, 10X optical zoom, 0.45X A/F Hi-Def digital lens w/macro, 2 filters, 512 XD memory card, A/C converter, and case. I have no idea what it's worth... but it's the camera I've been using, and Kelli used the same one.

Shanti, Congrats on the new PC!

I don't know what to tell you about camera lights... See, I don't use any since I'm such a bright and sunny person all the time I just radiate a perfect ambient glow that illuminates the geckos when I'm around them. heh

Bright and sunny? Didn't you mean pale and in your birthday suit all the time? We can forgive you for being so "bright" we need sunglasses around you (I know how it is), but the constant wearing of the birthday suit is getting a little creepy.

Shanti-Congrats on your new PC
I was lucky this year-I got my very first brand new computer and it's a Toshiba Satellite laptop Core Duo-80 gig HD with CD/DVD burner and all of the other goodies including built in wireless
Those True-Bright screens are just incredible compared to the very old monitor that I was using on my old used P3 desktop or even the screen on the (also used) P3 Compact laptop that I gave to my bf to use
I bet the desktops with the thin screen displays are really nice now-I always hated the space that the whole dam desktops used to take up

Camera -wise
Kodak has a decent SLR which is extrenly easy to use for around $250-may even be cheaper now
The SLR's have really dropped in price this year and I am really hoping to be able to use mine more in the coming weeks to get used to it and set up the best lighting for taking pics of what else-lol-my geckos
I had a great year for presents-lol-and I manged to get both the new computer and the camera -something unheard of for me
I have been getting by with second-hand (or even thrids) for years now and it really is nioce to have something "brand new out of the box"
Anyway-Congrats again on your new computer-you are gonna love the speed and the ease of use of that duo processor-it just flies

Sandy
