Microscopes

I am going to buy a Microscope that will be used for fecal exams.
I have the book Principles and Practice of Veterinary Technology. It tells me the slides I need, how to do the exam and pictures of common parisites.
However, it does not give me any info on microscopes. I want to learn how to do fecal exams and don't want to waste my money on a microscope that is not good enough. If anyone has any suggestions on a microscope or any books that could be of use to me that would be great. Thanks.

Brandy, I got the microscope I use for fecals from Edmund's Scientific. I did some shopping around and they had the best price for the specs I wanted.

I think the model number for the one I got is 3112-00. I'm happy with it, and I think it works great for fecals.
