Migrating Mealworms

THis isn't strictly a feeding question, but this is the best forum I could think of for it.
The babies pigged out on their worms yesterday, so I refilled their bowl... later, I found 3 mealworms had mysteriously migrated from the food bowl to the water bowl. Now, I know damn well those mealworms didn't just walk there; so can anyone tell me why/how my stooges took their mealworms to the other side of the tank and dumped them in the water bowl?
This morning, no new mealworms in the water bowl.

they prolly escaped. i hate when they escape! seems like when i put them in a deep dish they never escape but never get eaten. when they are in a shallow dish they get eaten but always escape :p

They do escape easy. Its no problem when the do. Just make sure they dont eat the poo. If you find any half eaten poo, through out all the escaped worms.
